Youth Council

Youth Council: A group of young people from Bromsgrove who meet to discuss local issues, host peer-led consultations, make key decisions, organise and run local community events and initiatives. This group has met at The Hub Bromsgrove since 2018, however in 2021-22 we are expanding to include school groups to broaden the range of young people included in the project.

Previously the youth council has achieved; a community event for families in Sanders Park that attracted hundreds of people, feedback to local councilors on youth services, engagement in local mental health and wellbeing consultations and the Make Your Mark campaign, multiple local litter picks in areas young people felt needed attention, meeting with funding organisations to secure funding for local youth groups and deciding how this funding was allocated, fundraising and organising trips for local young people in Bromsgrove, hosting Eco-brick and Eco-awareness events, being invited to Parliament for a tour.
